Tomorrow is the start of booster shot application in the Riviera Maya

According to health officials, the application of the third or booster dose for adults over 60 years of age will begin in some municipalities. Older adults who had their shots during the first half of the year (prior to June) can get the booster shot.

To do so, people need to arrive with an official piece of identification proving their age, along with proof of vaccination date. Everyone who qualifies to receive the booster will get a dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine, regardless of their previous vaccine brand.

Since not all of the state’s municipalities have been included in the first round, governor Carlos Joaquin posted on social media, “ We share with you the #AstraZeneca vaccine application calendar for the municipalities of: #IslaMujeres, # LázaroCárdenas, #Cozumel, #PuertoMorelos, #Bacalar, # JoséMaríaMorelos and # OthónPBlanco.”
